The Development Bank of Japan signed an agreement with Oita City to form a partnership and provide advice on urban development, the promotion of industry, and other aspects of the regional economy. It is the first such agreement the DBJ has signed with any local government in Japan. The bank hopes this will enhance its capability to assist regional areas with economic development.
