Multiple Arrests in Fukuoka for Drunk Driving on Electric Scooters

Three people were arrested on the morning of October 14 in Fukuoka Prefecture for driving under the influence, including one incident involving an electric scooter. Naoto Ban, a 33-year-old company executive, was caught running a stop sign on an electric scooter in Sawara Ward, Fukuoka City, and was found to have nearly four times the legal alcohol limit in his system. Ban admitted to ignoring the stop sign but claimed ignorance of the ban on drinking and driving electric scooters.

Additionally, in Yanagawa City and Kitakyushu City, two others—42-year-old Miku Terasaki and 51-year-old Koki Shimada—were arrested for driving under the influence. Both admitted to the charges. Source: KBC
