Fukuoka City has begun distributing an emblem to local accommodation facilities that implement adequate preventive measures against novel coronavirus infection. The logo, saying “Hotel for Fukuoka Stay Safety Announcement (福岡STAY安全安心宣言の宿),” is designed to help travelers find reliable hotels and ryokan. Registered facilities must implement twenty-five virus-control schemes, based on the latest guidelines for the accommodation industry. Names of these places are also available on the city’s website.
