A former university student, Yusuke Yoshikawa (22), has been sentenced to 7 years in prison by the Fukuoka District Court for a series of robberies and assaults targeting women walking alone at night in Fukuoka’s Chuo and Minami districts. The crimes occurred between July of last year and January of this year. Yoshikawa threatened the women with a blade and stole cash and other valuables, causing injuries to one of the victims.
