Exhibition on WWII Letters and Writings Opens in Kitakyushu

The “Kitakyushu City Museum of Peace” in Kitakyushu’s Kokurakita Ward is hosting an exhibition titled “Words from the Battlefield,” featuring around 50 items including letters from soldiers and last writings of kamikaze pilots during WWII. The exhibit, which will run until July 15, aims to convey the emotional states and impacts of war on families and soldiers, drawing from personal writings like those of a Fukuoka native who perished near Sumatra in 1945.
