Virtual reality (VR) devices that give users the chance to experience the Yamakasa festival were installed in various locations around Fukuoka City. These include the Hakata Machiya Folk Museum, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, and the Tourist Information Center at Fukuoka Airport International Terminal. Users can experience a range of simulations, such as a 360-degree view from the top of one of the floats used during the festival. Captions describing the event are available in Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese. The video footage used for the VR experience has also been released on Fukuoka City’s official YokaNavi YouTube channel. Source: Yomiuri Shimbun, 2/2/2018
