Extreme Weather Forecast for Fukuoka

Brace yourselves, it’s going to be a cold and maybe snowy weekend here in Fukuoka! Due to unusually strong winds (reaching up to 1,500 m, and measuring -15℃ at the top) the temperature in Fukuoka will dip below 0℃, and there are warnings of snowstorms and heavy snow. Expect severe weather from the evening of Jan. 23 to the end of Jan. 25. In order to ensure your safety, please observe the following advice: 1) refrain from leaving the house unnecessarily, 2) refrain from participating in outside activities, and be careful on roads and sidewalks, as sub-zero temperatures mean conditions might be icy.
