The ‘Cheer Up Firework’ project is scheduled for early June (most likely tonight, June 1) at more than 200 locations around the nation. Approximately 160 firework companies, including 18 in Kyushu and Okinawa will launch fireworks at the same time, on the same day. Participating groups will launch five minute (or shorter) displays/ The launch sites will be kept secret to avoid crowds. The costs of the shows will be borne on the companies themselves. (The event may be canceled in case of inclement weather.) Sources: Sankei / Saga Shimbun / Hanabi Project
