Fukuoka City-based Plenus, which operates the Hotto Motto takeout bento chain, has opened its first South Korean outlet in Seoul. The shop offers 30 different bento varieties, identical to those sold in Japan. Unlike other Japanese outlets, however, it will have seats for in-store dining. The company hopes to open 30 shops in the country in the next three years. They already operate shops in China.
