On May 30, three cities, including Fukuoka and Kitakyushu, and two towns in Fukuoka Prefecture issued photochemical smog warnings. The warnings were the first issued since May 2012, and all of them were lifted by the evening of the 30th. Warnings are issued when the smog concentrations exceed 0.120 ppm.
