First Train Station to Use Reiwa in its Name to Open in Tagawa

Heisei Chikuho Railway Co., Ltd. will open a new station on its Tagawa Line, named Reiwa Costa Yukuhashi Station. The company included “Reiwa” in the station name as it will be the first to open in the Reiwa era. Located between the stations of Yukuhashi and Miyakoizumi, Reiwa Costa Yukuhashi Station will be constructed using plenty of local hinoki cypress and will be designed by Eiji Mitooka, the designer of Coto Coto Train and JR Kyushu’s luxury sleeper train Seven Stars. The new station expects 250 passengers per day and an annual revenue of ¥17 million. Source: Heisei Chikuho Railway Co. Ltd., 6/28/2019
