In a special report, the Nishinippon Shimbun described that industry, academia, and government in Kyushu are becoming increasingly interested in bundled software for the automated control of functions in automobiles, digital consumer electronics products, and cellular telephones. With the continuing concentration of the automobile industry in northern Kyushu, more than a few companies are discovering business opportunities for developing automobile software. The newspaper expects interest in this sector to rise further because of the rapid growth of demand.
