Fukuoka Airport Adds 13 Shops To International Terminal

Fukuoka International Airport will expand its international terminal’s commercial zone on December 5, adding 13 new shops within the post-security boarding lounge. The redevelopment follows a major expansion completed in March and utilizes space from the former immigration area to accommodate a wider range of passenger needs. Six of the new outlets are debuting in Kyushu, including AirBicCamera, ButterButler, and MOOOSH SQUISHY. The lineup spans electronics, sweets, crafts, stationery, clothing, and daily necessities, including a Uniqlo and a 7-Eleven.

A separate capsule toy store, Gacha World, will open in the first-floor arrivals lobby the same day—also a Kyushu first. These additions aim to enhance traveler experience and capitalize on rising inbound tourism. The upgrades are part of an ongoing effort to position Fukuoka Airport as a premier international gateway in East Asia. Source: Fukuoka Airport
