Fukuoka International Airport Co. posted record results for April–September 2025, boosted by the March launch of its second runway. Operating profit rose 40% year-on-year to ¥6.1 billion, while recurring profit increased 190% to ¥3.5 billion. The airport handled record numbers of domestic and international flights, up 2% and 12% respectively. To meet strong demand, the company will work with the Kyushu Economic Federation to expand hourly flight slots from 40 to 45. The airport forecasts a full-year net profit of ¥4.2 billion, reversing last year’s loss, as inbound and business travel continue to rise. Source: KBC
