Fukuoka Prefecture announced plans to establish a base in Tokyo to attract domestic and foreign investors and venture companies. Stationing one employee at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in Minato-ku, Tokyo, the prefecture aims to raise its profile as a global business hub. A delegation led by Governor Seitaro Hattori will visit the US in mid-October to promote investments and attract businesses. CIC is considering setting up a venture nurturing base in Fukuoka.
