Fukuoka Business Leaders Expect to Hire More Graduates


The Fukuoka Employers’ Association of Fukuoka Prefecture conducted a questionnaire survey among its membership that shows 20.4% of the business leaders expect to hire more new college graduates this spring, a 7.7 percentage-point jump from last year’s figures. Meanwhile, 27.4% of the members said they expected to hire fewer new graduates than last year, a 0.6 percentage-point decline from the year before. Finally, 34.5% of the respondents expected no change, a decline of 1.1 percentage points. A higher percentage of association members also said they expected to hire more graduates of high schools, vocational schools, and junior colleges as well.
