Fukuoka City will honor 943 residents aged 100 or older on Senior Citizens’ Day, September 15th. The majority of these centenarians are women, with 851 females and 92 males. One featured resident is 100-year-old Shinjiro Ishida, who has led a remarkable life including wartime service and contributions to post-war Japan.
