Fukuoka Children’s Hospital Establishes International Medical Support

On Apr. 1, Fukuoka Children’s Hospital announced that its International Medical Support Center is open for business. Although the number of foreign residents and tourists in Japan has increased in recent years, there have been many complaints that hospitals and doctors cannot provide assistance in foreign languages. Fukuoka Children’s Hospital has been experiencing increasing pressure to provide greater assistance for foreigners, particularly given the increase in tourists visiting Fukuoka. The hospital now hopes to be able to provide safe medical treatment to foreigners. Contact them by phone in English or Japanese (092-692-3312) on weekdays 9:00~17:00, or by email in English, Chinese, Korean or Japanese (international.k@fcho.jp).
