The “Oral Care 28 Project,” an initiative by Fukuoka City and others to protect dental and oral health, is now in full swing. This project is a collaboration between Fukuoka City, the Fukuoka City Dental Association, Kyushu University, and other organizations to maintain 28 permanent teeth (excluding wisdom teeth) in good health throughout life. The co-payment for dental checkups at 35, 40, 50, and 60, which used to be ¥700, will now be ¥500. In addition, free dental checkups for 18- to 20-year-olds will begin within the next month. Those eligible will be notified by postcard or other means from next month. Source: KBC / Fukuoka City
