Fukuoka City Boosts Medical Support for COVID Out Patients

Fukuoka City boosts medical support for COVID-19 patients who are treated at home. To ensure the safety of the increasing number of home-treated patients amid the latest spike in the new coronavirus infections, medical fees will be covered as follows (*to be applied Jan. 27~):

Telemedicine (phone / internet)
Patients directly contact their kakaritsuke doctor (family doctor) or the medical institutions that diagnosed their COVID-19 infections.
Costs to be covered: ¥5,000 per telephone-based telemedicine or ¥5,000 per internet-based telemedicine.

House calls or visiting doctors’ offices 
Patients contact the Health Center to get their examinations arranged. 
Costs to be covered: ¥50,000 per house call or ¥20,000 per in-hospital examinations.
