Fukuoka City To Support Ice Arena

Fukuoka City announced intentions to support the continued operation of the Papio Ice Arena by bearing partial repair costs. The only ice-skating facility in the city has been on the verge of permanent closure due to the reduced number of users and the high maintenance costs. While the operating company estimates ¥500 million would be required to reopen the facility, Fukuoka City would officially consider financial support involving Fukuoka Prefecture. Source: TNC
