The one month long ban on drinking alcohol in public places by Fukuoka City civil servants ends today. The prohibition was ordered by Fukuoka City Mayor Soichiro Takashima after a series of incidents in which city hall officials committed crimes while intoxicated. The ban was very controversial. It’ll will be interesting to see what, if anything, happens tonight.
