Fukuoka Disaster App Adds Live River Camera Feeds

Fukuoka Prefecture has enhanced its disaster prevention app, “Fukuoka Disaster Navi Mamoru-kun,” by adding real-time access to river surveillance camera images. As of March 25, users can now monitor conditions at approximately 200 camera locations across the prefecture, compare normal and current water levels, and view footage either by registered location or map selection. The app already provides live weather alerts, evacuation information, and illustrated safety instructions. Currently, around 227,000 residents use the app, and officials encourage regular use for disaster readiness. Source: Fukuoka Prefecture / NHK
