Hawaiian Airlines will suspend its Fukuoka–Honolulu service, along with two other routes, starting November 2025 as part of a broader network reorganization to prioritize high-demand routes. The final Fukuoka-bound flight from Honolulu is scheduled for November 19. The airline will also halt its services to Incheon (five weekly flights) and Boston (four weekly flights).
The company cited ongoing challenges such as slow post-pandemic recovery and market-specific issues in Fukuoka, Seoul, and Boston. Hawaiian Airlines emphasized its continued commitment to Japan through direct flights from Tokyo and Osaka. Passengers from Fukuoka can still reach Hawaii with one stop by connecting through Honolulu-bound flights from Haneda or Kansai via partner airlines, including Oneworld members.
Customers affected by the suspended routes will be offered alternative arrangements or refunds. Following its merger with Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian now operates over 200 daily flights in Hawaii and maintains a network linking the islands to 22 domestic and international destinations. After the reorganization, it will continue around 31 weekly international flights to destinations such as Tokyo, Osaka, Sydney, Auckland (seasonal), American Samoa, Tahiti, and the Cook Islands.
