Fukuoka Introduces Device to Enable  EVs To Contribute Power at Evac Shelters

Fukuoka City will introduce a new device to enable the use of electric vehicles as power sources at local evacuation shelters. Construction will take place at 166 public halls and other public-use facilities within the next two years.  According to the city, a fully-charged EV can charge approximately five thousand smartphones, or supply power for important electric tools inside shelter for thirty-two hours.
