Fukuoka Launches Crowdfunding To Renew Cherry Trees In Maizuru Park

Fukuoka City has begun a crowdfunding campaign to support the replacement and maintenance of cherry trees in Maizuru Park, known for its 1,000 cherry blossoms. About 30% of the trees have reached 60 years of age, an age when they typically begin to weaken. The city aims to raise ¥5 million by June 30 to fund tree replanting and soil improvement. Donors will receive recognition via nameplates installed on the new trees. Source: Maizuru Park
