Dai Nippon Printing (DNP), Fukuoka D.C., Kyushu Institute of Advanced Science and Technology, and Mellow have begun a pilot project in Fukuoka’s Tenjin and Hakata districts to integrate kitchen truck information into the city’s data-sharing platform. The system links real-time location, menu type, and operating hours with DNP’s “Place2B” map-based platform, allowing users to find food truck options via smartphones or PCs. The project, running from July 15 to August 29, aims to address lunch-hour dining shortages in the redeveloped Tenjin area and support universal, user-friendly urban design. Future plans include using open human-flow data to optimize kitchen truck placement and menus. Source: DNP / Digital Map
