Fukuoka Might Go Snowless for First Time in Over a Century

Fukuoka City might experience its first winter without snow in over a century. According to an announcement by Fukuoka Regional Headquarters of Japan Meteorological Agency, the city hasn’t seen any snowfall as of February 6, making it the record latest for the first time over 111 years. In Kyushu, other cities such as Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Oita, Miyazaki and Kagoshima, too, have yet to see snow due to the warmer temperature during the winter. Source: Mainichi Shinbun 02/07/2020
