Exports of Fukuoka-produced mikan to Vietnam began in early November. Fukuoka became the second prefecture in Japan following Wakayama, which began last year. Two farmers in Miyama and Yame have worked together with the prefectural government since April to clear Vietnam’s quarantine standards.
