The minimum wage in Fukuoka Prefecture will be raised by ¥25. From October, companies within the prefecture will be expected to pay employees at least ¥814 an hour. The Fukuoka Labor Bureau announced the news at a press conference on August 31. Every year, local prefectures set their minimum wage after taking into consideration recommendations put forth by a national inquiry.
