Fukuoka Plans ¥9.3B Relief Budget for Rain Damage

The Fukuoka Prefectural Assembly opened its regular September session on September 8. Governor Seitaro Hattori announced plans to submit a ¥9.29 billion supplementary budget to support farmers, foresters, and fishers affected by last month’s record rainfall. The budget includes subsidies for greenhouse repairs and funding for the rapid restoration of damaged roads and rivers.
