Fukuoka Prefecture Announces Additional Anti-corona Subsidies

Fukuoka Prefecture announced additional policies and projects to support the local economy from the new coronavirus spread. It intends to cover PCR test costs for those who work at care homes (*except for cities with their health centers.) Also, to reactivate local tourism, taxi coupons worth ¥1,000 (2 x ¥500 tickets) will be on sale at convenience stores across Japan. The prefecture also plans to secure an additional two million surgical masks and 250 thousand medical gowns as preparation for a potential infection spike. The budget for these projects will be discussed at the December assembly. Source: RKB / NHK
