Fukuoka Prefecture Begins COVID Antibody Cocktail Therapy

Fukuoka Prefecture and the regional medical association began antibody cocktail treatments for the new coronavirus patients at one of the region’s hotels. Previously, only Tokyo offered such treatments believed to reduce the risks of severe symptoms by administering two types of antibodies. The treatment is given to non-vaccinated patients with higher risks of developing severe symptoms (50 y/o and older, those with underlying symptoms, etc.). At the same time, it is not available for home-treated patients due to the lack of medical response in case of experiencing any side effects. Source: Asahi / NHK / FBS
