Fukuoka Prefecture May Extend Restrictions Beyond Feb. 20

Fukuoka Governor, Seitaro Hattori, is reportedly leaning towards requesting an extension of the ongoing ‘mann-enn boushi to juten sochi’ to the national government. While restrictions are currently scheduled to end on Feb. 20, Hattori said the region is still at risk of exceeding its healthcare capacity despite a leveling off of the number of infections. The national government will consider further actions in the middle of this week. The latest occupancy rate of C19 reserved hospital beds in Fukuoka Prefecture topped 80%.  Source: RKB / NHK
