Fukuoka Prefecture’s Updated Requests To Residents

Fukuoka Prefecture announced new guidelines to limit the spread of the new coronavirus infections. Beginning on Mar. 22, the prefecture requests the following:

For residents
• Avoid spending more than two hours in the same restaurant (or dining with friends at home) and keep groups small.
• When going out, please pay attention to the new coronavirus situation at your destination, congestion, and the implementation of effective anti-infection measures at individual facilities.
• Please refrain from holding seasonal parties (welcoming, farewell parties, etc. ) or trips in groups. Also, avoid involving eating and drinking activities while viewing sakura flowers outside.

For restaurants, bars, and other shops with food service
• Please advise customers to keep groups small and not to stay longer than two hours.
• Please implement proper anti-infection measures per guidelines.

For elderly-care facilities and related facilities
• Please promote PCR screenings for workers.

For other businesses
• Implement anti-infection measures at break rooms, changing rooms, and rooms other than workspaces.
• Please continue efforts to promote teleworking, introducing earlier and later work hours, and bike commuting to minimize workers’ coronavirus exposure.
