Fukuoka Prepares to Lifts COVID-19 Business Regulations From Mar. 21

Fukuoka Prefecture is reportedly preparing to discontinue its pandemic-related business regulations and requests for non-urgent outings as of Mar. 21. A task-force meeting will be held on Mar. 19 to decide on the plan officially. The prefecture reported 4.7 new infections per 100,000 population over the previous seven days, which was lower than the criteria of 15 infections per week. On the other hand, as of Mar. 17, hospital beds’ regional occupancy rate remains 31.9%, much higher than the criterion of 20%. Source: Mainichi / Asahi
