Fukuoka Rated as a Very Livable City

Fukuoka City has revealed the findings from a study that attempted to gauge the feelings of residents towards the local area. A survey conducted in June, which received 2,300 responses, found that 97.1% of people were satisfied to live in the city. A total of 72.8% of respondents said that Fukuoka was livable, while a further 24.3% answered that the area was more or less livable. The study also revealed that 92.8% of residents would like to continue living in the city. Mayor Soichiro Takashima has expressed his happiness with the results and stated that he wants to take concrete action to help make a harmonious city. Source: Sankei Shimbun, 8/30/2018
