Fukuoka Sees Lowest Daily COVID Cases in Over a Year

In Fukuoka Prefecture, 47 new cases of the novel coronavirus were confirmed on the 27th, marking the first time in roughly a year and three months that daily infections have dipped below 50. According to Fukuoka Prefecture officials, the breakdown of new infections includes seven in Fukuoka City, 18 in Kitakyushu City, two in Kurume City, and 15 in areas under the jurisdiction of the prefecture. No deaths have been reported. This is the first time since January 5th of last year that the daily number of new infections has fallen below 50, a milestone not seen for about a year and three months.
