The 2028 World Table Tennis Championships (team events) will be held in Fukuoka Prefecture, marking the tournament’s first appearance in Kyushu and the eighth time it will be hosted in Japan. The decision was made at the International Table Tennis Federation’s annual meeting on May 27 in Doha.
Fukuoka secured the bid over competitors from China, Iraq, and Italy, following joint promotional efforts by the prefecture, prefectural assembly, and national and regional table tennis associations.
