The Fukuoka Regional Taxation Bureau has charged that the corporation operating Fukuoka University concealed roughly 21 million yen in income. The company filed a new income tax statement and paid about 7.6 million yen in additional taxes. The problem arose with the failure to report the receipt of funds for outsourced research expenditures in nine cases over the five-year period starting in 2006.
