A Fukuoka native, Masato Sakai of Yanagawa, won the silver medal in the 200-meter butterfly swimming event at the Rio Olympics. The 21-year-old finished in second place with a time of 1 minute 53.40 seconds, just 0.04 seconds behind Michael Phelps (USA). Although disappointed not to have won the gold, Sakai says he is happy with his silver medal and wants to thank everyone who cheered for him back in Fukuoka. Congratulations! Source: Yahoo!
