Fukuoka City is recruiting local meal-delivery services to participate in a support program linked with the ongoing state of emergency. The program aims to incentivize the use of delivered meals by refunding ¥500 (*in coupons or points) to customers who place orders of ¥1,000 or more. The deadline for businesses to apply is 17:00 on April 23. The city will announce more details for customers once preparation for the system is complete.

1. Fukuoka City-based eateries that provide meal delivery services inside the city (limited to small and mid-size companies.)
2. Meal-delivery services that work with Fukuoka City-based eateries.
Details of Eligibility
Local eateries:
– Shops that accept e-payments
– Shops that can refund eligible customers with coupons or points
– Shops that can refund customers for past e-payments (from Apr. 7 until the date it is approved for the program) with coupons or points to the extent where possible.
– Shops that can estimate the number of eligible orders and estimate costs upon application. – Shops that take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus.
Meal-delivery services:
– Businesses that can deliver meals inside Fukuoka City.
– Businesses that agree to waive the initial registration fee for new mid-small companies from the date it is approved for the program until May 6.
– Businesses that accept e-payments.
– Businesses that can refund eligible customers with coupons or points that are valid for a limited period.
– Businesses that can compensate past e-payment customers (from Apr. 7 until the date it is approved for the program) with coupons or points.
– Businesses that can estimate the number of eligible orders and can estimate costs upon application.
– Businesses that take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus.
How to apply:
The following documents should be posted, e-mailed (*with a title “宅配事業応募 (name of your business organization),” or faxed by the deadline. Confirmation notices should be received by 17:00 in the following day. (Note: in-person submissions are NOT accepted at the office.)
1 – Written oath (誓約書)
2 – Written oath on anti-organized crime measures (暴力団対策に関する誓約書)
3 – Document to support your eligibility (支援予定事業者の要件を満たすことがわかる書類; free form)
4 – A photocopy or digital image of your business license under the Food Sanitation Law (食品衛生法に基づく営業許可証の写し)
