Fukuoka’s Firefighters To Receive Vaccinations Earlier

Fukuoka City announced a new program to vaccinate local firefighters and other disaster-relief workers, and volunteer members against the new coronavirus from this month. The city’s mayor, Soichiro Takashima, explained at a press conference that approximately 12,000 of the city’s June injections remain unbooked as of Jun. 11. The city advises elderly residents (65 y/o and above) to reschedule their bookings to earlier dates to operate regional vaccinations at speed. Also, after June. 18, unbooked injections would be given to disaster-relief workers to brace for the heavy-rain and typhoon season. Source: NHK
