Local rising foreign personality, Bobby Judo has been selected to act as an honorary tour guide on the Fukuoka Open Top Bus. It’s the first time for a foreigner to take the reins as a guide, not to mention the first time a man has been offered the task! Clad in a yukata Bobby Judo will act as tour guide a total of 11 days – every Sunday until Sep. 29 – on the Hakata Machinaka Course. He’ll not only be pointing out and explaining Fukuoka’s attractions, but adding his foreign perspective too. The Hakata Machinaka Course runs three times daily, departing from in front of Tenjin Fukuoka City Hall at 10:00 ~, 12:00 ~, and 15:30 ~ (except 8/4 Sun., with only one departure from 10:00~) and tickets are ¥1,500 for adults, ¥750 for children. Other Open Top Bus courses – with regular Japanese guides – include the Seaside Momochi Course (18:00~ ) and Fukuoka Kirameki Night Sightseeing Course (19:30 ~, 20:00 ~ ).
