Kyushu Electric Power Co. announced on December 7 that Genkai Nuclear Power Plant Unit 3 (Genkai-machi, Saga Prefecture), which has been shut down since late January due to delays in the construction of anti-terrorism facilities, will resume operations on December 12. The plant was previously scheduled to resume power generation on December 17 but will start up its reactors on December 10 and return to normal operation in early January 2023 after an adjustment operation to check the operation of the equipment.
