The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport has firmed plans to allocate 42.5 billion yen for the construction of the remaining parts of the Kyushu Shinkansen line to Kagoshima this year. This accounts for more than half of the money needed to finish the project. They also decided to allocate one billion yen for the western leg of the line to Nagasaki.
