Governor of Fukuoka Prefecture Visits Finland

Governor Ogawa and members of the Prefectural Assembly visited Finland to commemorate the launch of Finnair’s new Fukuoka-Helsinki route. The group visited Finnair headquarters where they met with CEO Pekka Vauramo. Governor Ogawa asked Mr. Vauramo to keep operating the new route until the end of the year instead of the scheduled end date of October to facilitate mutual exchange between the two cities. The delegation also visited the Finnish Tourist Board where they exchanged opinions on how to invigorate exchange between Europe and Kyushu. Furthermore, they pitched Fukuoka as a possible location for Finland’s training camps ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. Source: http://www.fiba.jp/
