This year the Santa Claus decoration on the 19 meter-high lighthouse at Hakata Port, a Christmas season tradition of sixteen years, is wearing a mask. This mask measures 1.8 meters and uses a Hakata-ori mask motif. Another smaller lighthouse is decorated as a snowman, and together they will create a festive mood for the city up to Dec. 25.
