The landmark Hakata Post Office next to Hakata Station will be rebuilt. Construction of a temporary 2-storey building begins in January 2013, in a 2,200m2 parking lot along Chikushi-dori. This temporary location will be completed in Sep. 2013, and the post office will relocate there for the duration of the rebuilding process.
