Hakata Wagyu Beef Served at Fukuoka City Elementary Schools

Hakata wagyu beef was served at twenty-eight municipal elementary schools in Fukuoka City, supporting local farmers who suffer the impact of the new coronavirus spread. Using a national program to boost domestic agricultural and fishery products’ consumption, Fukuoka Prefecture introduced high-grade ingredients without raising school meal fees. It also plans to serve Hakata jidori chicken, Miyazaki-sourced eel, and other branded fish by the end of the current school year. Source: NHK / Public Interest Fukuoka City School Lunch Corporation
